Your Choices With Direct Sales Facebook Community Management
This is direct sales. You get to choose whether to show up, and be consistent on your social platforms. And you choose to have a good attitude and keep going, keep trying new things – or not. That’s really the bare bones of a successful Facebook group. Use good content, show up daily with a good attitude, and keep showing up whether anyone else does or not. Because eventually they WILL show up, too.
Your Direct Sales Facebook Community Management Mindset
In your own community, you are the leader who is inspiring others to follow your lead. Look at this quote.
“Which do you believe? – Impossible or I’m Possible?”
Which do you believe? Do you believe it’s “Impossible”? Or do you believe “I’m possible”. Do you see others doing community management, and doing it well, and think – “This is possible, for me, too, I just haven’t learned the skills yet.” Or do you complain about the Facebook algorithm, place blame, and give up before you even really tried? Then cry “Impossible, my community won’t engage me with me!” Because that’s not a Facebook community issue, that’s a mindset battle.
My Story About Direct Sales Facebook Community Management
I’m going to tell you about my day yesterday. It started out really really stinky. I’m not going to sugar coat that, because I know you can look at someone ahead of you on the line, and say “Oh, but she doesn’t have issues with… (insert your particular mindset battle here).” Trust me, we all struggle.
Yesterday, someone on my team who was a builder, QUIT. As in walked away from the opportunity entirely, called the company to get out of it, and plans to sell for a competitive product. Yes, my morning stunk. Because – for a short time, I LET IT stink. I got upset, I got mad, and I CRIED.
But then – after a lot of struggle, and an intentional blog post where I literally put a mindset shift out there saying “Okay, she walked away, because she wasn’t willing to put in the work, even when I laid out the steps for her. BUT here is who I DO want to work with.”, something happened.
Something like Big Magic. In the space of hours yesterday, 3 people enrolled themselves to my team. One quit, yes. But because I kept right on showing up, 3 more walked in. Just went and signed up on my doTERRA website.
So how does this relate to online community management?
Because good online community management is the base of where it happened for me. All 3 people enrolled themselves from being in my doTERRA essential oils Facebook group. I didn’t have a party, I wasn’t madly following up to recover the lost builder, I just WAS. I was posting as usual, I was SHOWING UP as usual… and in its own time and way, attraction marketing came through for me when I most needed it. As we’re going into this month, I want you to remember something. Community management isn’t fast, some days it isn’t even fun, and it’s not even easy. Some days you can even scratch your head not knowing what to post! I get it.
