Because doTERRA Jasmine essential oil is so rare and precious,  I hoard my bottle of pure Jasmine oil!

I earned a bottle of pure Jasmine during a builder promotion a few years ago.  Having it is so worth all the effort and hard work it took.  Jasmine oil almost smells like lilacs to me.  Lilacs have a sentimental memory for me because we had a huge lilac bush outside our house growing up.  The lilacs blooming meant spring a beautiful aroma and sunshine.

That’s how doTERRA Jasmine smells.  It’s like spring.  Very floral, and extremely uplifting.  If I am ever having a sad moment,  I reach for my Jasmine oil and inhale directly from the bottle.  I have only used it topically once or twice,  simply because I want to save this gorgeous oil forever.  If you ever get a chance to earn Jasmine essential oil…  don’t hesitate.  Put in the work and effort,  because this oil is worth it.

What’s The Difference Between Jasmine Absolute and Jasmine Essential Oil?

The difference between the absolute and the essential oil is in the production process. Typically Jasmine is extracted from the flowers using a solvent, because the blossoms are so delicate. It takes and incredible amount of blossoms to get enough.

But with all the craziness of 2020, the Jasmine growers were not able to sell all their flowers as they typically would have. doTERRA worked with the growers to use the increased yield to create the very first, steam distilled, Jasmine essential oil. This may be the only time there has been enough Jasmine blossoms to create the true essential oil, instead of the absolute.
