Essential Oils For Travel # 1: DigestZen Digestive Blend
Little tummies combined with car travel can often mean bad news! Until kids outgrow this occasional feeling of a troubled tummy, I have found the digestive essential oil blend to be a fantastic solution! As a top essential oil for travelling, I love this convenient way to use digestive blend. Just put it on the bottoms of the child’s feet! So easy, and little one can travel much more comfortably!
Essential Oils For Travel #2: On Guard Protective Blend
When thinking about essential oils for travel, it is a good idea to think about supporting our immune systems! This is why the protective essential oil blend is in my top five most recommended list. It is a good idea to rub a drop into your hands after stopping for potty breaks, eating at restaurants with many other people around, or even just the gas station to take that icky smell of gasoline off your hands! For children, I would recommend diluting this essential oil blend. Super easy to just make a simple essential oil and water spritz in a glass spray bottle. Then spritz into the air of your vehicle as you get back in from stopping. Your immune systems will thank you!
A Tie for # 3: Lemon or Wild Orange
I couldn’t choose between Lemon or Wild Orange essential oils for travel. So you can pick your favorite aroma! A citrus oil such as these fits my criteria as a top essential oil for travel, because of it’s wonderful ability to help lift moods and calm little passengers. When the children become restless, you can put just a drop of this oil on their hands. Show them how to rub the oil around between their two hands and smell! This trick never fails to bring a smile to the faces of my own children during a long car trip!!!
Travel Oil # 4: Peppermint
Peppermint is actually on my must list for the adults in the car! As well as being great for everyone’s mood, Peppermint can help with keeping the driver alert. If head and neck muscles become tense and tired, Peppermint is wonderful to rub on the back of your neck. Kids enjoy peppermint on their feet too, to help with moods and tame tummies.
Travel Oil #5: Lavender
For very small children, lavender is an especially wonderful oil to use during car trips! Soothing, calming, and gentle… what more could we ask of an essential oil for your youngest family members? It’s in my purse all the time, because lavender essential oil also happens to be extremely useful for…. me! When everyone gets cranky and Mom needs to be the cool voice of cheerful authority in the chaos of family travel, lavender is a must! Get it on the back of your neck, and pretty much feel that tension of travelling with kids start to ease!
