Today Is Going To Be A Great Day After All
I learned that today is going to be a great day after all. It started at 6 am and I wake up to the sound of my son playing in his room. “How long was *he* awake?,” I wonder. Feeling guilty, I grab my fuzzy robe and stumble over to his room.
“C’mon Andy, let’s build railroad track downstairs.” Man, I’m tired, but he says cheerfully, “Okay, Mommy!”
I Wasn’t Sure About The Day
As we head down the steps I notice some feelings of tightness and discomfort in my chest. My breathing isn’t clear today. My anxious and tired feelings almost overwhelm me. “Oh great…” I mumble to myself. It seems like when I’m tired everything else is harder.
But I Had My Oils On Hand!
Then I grab my essential oil diffuser and doTERRA Douglas Fir oil. Next, I turn on my kitchen diffuser. I’ve noticed lately that Douglas Fir has been increasing my body’s energy and helping soothe my breathing.
A Beautiful Aroma Filled The Air
As we start building my son’s railroad track, a beautiful lemony pine aroma starts to fill the air. My stressed feeling eases. My shoulders loosen. As the Douglas Fir goes to work, I notice sunbeams coming in through the window.
Today Is Going To Be A Great Day After All
I sip on a mug of fresh coffee and feel my eyes crack open. My breathing clears. I take a deep energizing breath. And I think to myself… “Today is going to be a great day, after all.”
