Unfortunately, there may be times when we feel a bit of tummy discomfort. There are certainly essential oils which are wonderful to apply topically, such as Peppermint oil or doTERRA DigestZen blend. However, I find that I love the homey comfort of a hot mug of Tummy Comfort Tea!
Tummy Comfort Tea Recipe With Oils
Good news. Tummy Comfort Tea is super easy to make! You need hot water, your coziest glass or ceramic mug, and your doTERRA essential oils. Yep, that’s all!
Tummy Comfort Tea Ingredients:
Step One: Heat water to your desired comfort temperature. I like mine fairly hot to sip on, but not quite to the boiling stage. Pretty much the temperature you would make the water for any other type of tea!
Step Two: While water is heating, drop two drops of doTERRA Lemon and 2 drops of doTERRA Fennel essential oils into the bottom of the mug.
Step Three: Fill your mug with hot water. Stir it around with a metal spoon so the oils disperse well.
*Please only use doTERRA Certified Pure Therapeutic grade essential oils for this essential oil recipe. doTERRA is the only brand I am personally comfortable ingesting, for myself, my family, or for you! This is because doTERRA tests the oils for purity in a way that no other essential oil company offers.
Tummy Discomfort Be Gone!
Ahh… sit down in your cozy recliner (I am sitting in mine as I type this blog post!), sip your Tummy Comfort Tea, and tell that minor tummy discomfort to be gone!
Why Lemon & Fennel Essential Oils?
Why use Lemon and Fennel essential oils for this tea recipe? I’m glad you asked! You all know how much I love talking about our essential oils, and why they work!
Fennel has long been known for its tummy soothing properties. Even before I began using essential oils, I would always reach for a mug of fennel tea! Lemon helps the tea taste good, plus it helps with healthy detoxification, As a lesser known benefit, Lemon oil contains its own tummy soothing properties. In fact, I use diluted Lemon oil topically, instead of the stronger essential oils, for my kids’ minor tummy discomforts when needed.
